American Retail Bakery Exposition
Meet with representatives from hundreds of exhibiting companies bringing you the latest supplies, packaging, ingredients, services, and equipment. Retail Baking Industry Foundation
The mission of the RBIF is to provide educational and research programs to support, conduct and disseminate research and technical studies. The Foundation also provides assistance to the retail baking community during times of hardship. Last summer the Gulf Coast region was devastated by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The devastation hit close to home for the retail baking industry. To assist the community affected by these tragic storms, the Foundation founded the Hurricane Relief Fund whose purpose is to support retail bakers who suffered losses from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita rebuild and restock their businesses. Skills USA
SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled work force. The Commercial Baking Competition challenges contestants to meet production and quality standards expected by industry. Students must scale, mix, prepare and bake six products (including breads, rolls, Danish, cookies and pies) and demonstrate cake-decorating skills. They must deliver a quality, salable product while working efficiently and under job-like conditions.
